Zine concept with a humourous take on the unemployment crisis within South Africa. Comparisons are made using Horror movie protagonists and how even they too require experience to obtain work.
This concept hopes to envoke a sense of sustainability and community. MEDU (meaning ‘roots’ in Southern Sotho) is a business that aims to decrease the burden on urban infrastructure by encouraging eco-friendly small and medium scale farming. MEDU promotes this continued effort by targeting dry climate provinces in need of additional nutrients for their increased soil fertility. They are able to do this through community driven innitiatives such as pension and membership/subscription discounts. By utilising their very own water treatment plants to save costs and avoid munipical involvment, they produce an organic compost/fertiliser called sludge.
